How much should I budget for my event?
How much you spend is completely up to you! We are willing to work with your vision and budget to create something unique and beautiful for your event! However, Six Stems Floral Co does have a minimum of $1,500 for weddings and events.
Most couples budget 15-20% of their wedding budget to floral creations. On average this is between $2,000 and $10,000. If you would like a very bloom-heavy event, consider budgeting 25-35%.
How far in advance should I book my event?
It’s never too early to claim your event date! The further in advance you book, the more likely you are to secure your date, especially in the spring and summer months.
Six Stems Floral Co. is always booking weddings and events for the current and following year. Weddings and events are preferred to be booked at least two months in advance but no matter when your event is, be sure to inquire to see if we can fit you in! With funerals, we ask for at least four days of notice.
What is the booking process?
To start our booking process, visit the inquiry form on our website and fill it out with your contact/event information. We will then send you an email with a more detailed questionnaire. These questions will help my team and I put together a mood board as well as a pricing proposal. Don’t worry! This is just a proposal and does not mean you have committed to booking Six Stems. Following the proposal we will book a consultation where we can answer questions, address concerns, and make changes. Lastly, we can finalize the proposal and an initial deposit will be required in order to secure your date.
If you feel that Six Stems is not the right fit for you, we can help point you to a florist who fits your style more during the consultation as well. No hard feelings!
What does the execution process look like?
BEFORE YOUR BIG DAY
You can expect some texts with questions as well as some sneak peeks! I will be doing all of the ordering, material prep work, and design planning in order to make your day exactly what you’d like it to be!
ON YOUR BIG DAY
Your big day will be an amazing whirlwind for you! Keeping that in mind, we will stay out of your way and make it as stress-free as possible! If we have an urgent issue or an important question, we will communicate with your emergency contact. Otherwise — we are problem-solving machines and will figure it out ourselves!
If you have only ordered bridal party flowers, delivery or pick up will be available on the day of. If there is an on-site setup, we ask that you communicate with the event center beforehand and allow us at least two hours to set up. The bigger the event — the more time is vital! Otherwise, more employees will have to be on schedule, meaning labor costs will go up.
If there is a set up in one location and bridal party flowers are needed in a different location (e.g. temple weddings), pick up will be necessary as my team and I will be designing on site.
AFTER YOUR BIG DAY
If you rent any of our items or opt for a takedown, we will be back after the event for a takedown! Otherwise, enjoy your florals! If you’re not sure what to do with your florals, many people send flowers home with family members or enjoy them in their own homes!
What type of payments are accepted and what does the payment process look like?
We currently accept cash, checks, and Venmo for payments. As for our payment process, an initial deposit of 30% will be required after your consultation to secure your booking. The remaining payment will be due 30 days before your event. Any delay in payment may result in a freeze of operations until payment is made.
Do you allow other florals from other artists to be present at weddings and events?
Six Stems works only through exclusivity and does not allow florals from other vendors or DIY florals at any event where our creations are featured. This policy is in place out of respect for myself and other florists to ensure correct credit is given. We appreciate your understanding regarding this policy.
